Dig is a great little command to run on a Linux/Unix box’s this command will give you all sorts of info about the domain.
The command is dig @”name server” domain name
OR to just use the configure DNS server
dig domain name
E.G. dig @”name server” techeez.com

For MX look up (where mail is pointing) just add MX to the end of it.
