How to hard stop windows backup
There are times when windows backup has failed or is hung and the windows backup interface does not have a cancel backup or stop backup anywhere.. That is ok as luckily they gave us a command line option..
Open cmd with elevated privileges (right click it and click run as administrator), then enter the command below and wait, be patient as it can take a long time..( I did one recently and I had to wait 34 mins)
wbadmin stop job
